William C. Beggs
I am an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Knauss School of Business at the University of San Diego. My research focuses on issues in investment management including: fund performance, taxes, conflicts of interest, trading impact, and misconduct. My articles have been featured in media outlets such as the Financial Times and Institutional Investor. Prior to academia, I worked in investment management and for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission where I conducted compliance inspections of investment management firms (e.g., mutual fund and hedge fund managers).
